18.5 HP briggs float adjustment

42A707 18.5hp. Copper float, when turned upside down it is just a little above being parallel with the carb body. I have not had any issues with it but seem to have always adjusted them parallel with the carb body. What is the proper adjustment?

Check float adjustment
Hold carburetor in vertical position with float hinge up, float should be parallel to bowl mounting surface.
