:welcome:
FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY AND THAT OF OTHERS IN THE AREA WHERE YOU MOW DO NOT DISABLE THE ONLY WORTHWHILE SAFETY ITEM ON A MOWER, THE SEAT SWITCH
Yes I am shouting, screaming, shaking you violently and foaming at the mouth.
The seat switch is wired to the PTO switch to shut the mower down if the blades are rotating and your bum ain't where it is supposed to be,
The seat switch is wired to the brake switch to shut the mower down if the mower moves and your bum ain't where it is supposed to be.
The MOTION CONTROL SWITCHES and the PARKING BRAKE switch are wired together to shut down the mower if you try to use it to hammer your head into the ground using the mower flipped over by the rear wheels.
So your problem will lie in one or both of them
All the wires to the motion control switches are ground wires while on pair on the brake switch will usually be a power wire ( to the starter ) and the other will be a ground circuit to the magneto kill wire.
The latter is the one that is giving you greif either insde the switch or between the switches you are getting a ground short which are a PIA to find.
BE carefull if you send 12 V don any kill wire it will kill the magneto, stone dead, not cheap.
