If it is for the Briggs & Stratton on your murry mower post the numbers from the engine... it will make looking them up a LOT easier... :smile:KennyV

Still no luck on the model #. The B & S is a 400707 14 hp twin(older). Can I put a 2001(16 single) starter into the older housing. How do you remove the pin from the older starter?

Champion J19LM Spark Plug, Yes you can use starter from single cylinder if you change top mounting plate. Remove starter from engine and support end just above starter gear in a barely opened vise and drive out pin with punch and hammer.

Hi and welcome to the forum. A parts manual can be found for your engine at Briggs and Stratton.com You'll need to enter your model # 400707-XXXX-XX and fill in the X's and you'll get the info you are needing. Again, welcome to our happy forum :biggrin:
