Always loved 2 strokes, electric mower burned up, found out about Lawnboy, Picked up a 10323 for $50. Runs great!
Can't find what engine size it is anywhere!
80cc? 50cc? Can anyone help? Thanks.

Wow! Thanks! Think an expansion pipe would do anything?

This engine is a workhorse if treated properly, I would fool with something that works.

Actually, I looked at the displacement and it says 141cc engine on the side of the recoil cover.

Any 2 stroke will respond to a properly designed tuned pipe. There is a science to designing expansion chambers. Not really sure what you would gain because you would need to do carb mods to match up to the exhaust tuning. Plus increased power needs increased cooling. Hopping up a lawnboy mower is like putting headers on a Ford country squire station wagon.

In a lawn mower , NO
The exhaust is too short to get any meaningful resonanace happening and tuning would be so fine you would be working in 0.0001" incriments to tune it .
In governed engine it would be very tricky to keep the engine within the powerband, particularly with a 4000 rpm ceiling .
