I have a 1-year old 22-HP V-twin B&S in my John Deere Z525E that has had problems starting from day one. When it's nice and warm outside and was just run last week, it'll start up in 5 seconds of cranking, but if it's cold or it's the first time running it in a while it can take 30-40 seconds before it'll start. Once I get it started, it'll run fine, and if I shut it off and come back an hour or two later, it'll startup right away without any problems. It should still be under warranty, but I'd rather avoid the hassle of bringing it in for service, especially if it's something simple. It currently has new plugs, fresh fuel, new fuel filter, and clean oil. I don't have a ton of experience working on small engines, but shouldn't have a problem doing anything that's not overly complex. Any thoughts?
