05 Z Force 50 No fuel to carb

My Z force 50 will not start. The last time I used it I had to pour a little fuel in the carb to start it and it ran fine. I went to crank it yesterday and it will not start. No fuel to plugs they are dry after many winds of the starter. I replaced the fuel pump and still nothing. You can put fuel in the carb and it will start and run as long as you pour fuel in there. Any ideas on what it may be?

I would check to see if the choke is closing all the way on start up.

Thanks for the quick response guys...After doing some more reading I found some threads on the anti afterfire solenoid. I took it off the bottom of the bowl and sure enough it was bad. Next, I took the spring and plunger out and put the empty hull back on the bowl...fired right up. Now...where can I buy one of these at a good price?

Thanks!!!

Thinking back....I left the key switch in the on position for about a week after I got furstrated with it for not starting  That killed the battery and the solenoid...also added several hours to the hr meter LOL
