Need a little help I own a Honda HRX 217 and it seems that navigating some of the slopes has caused a lack of oiling. The motor is tight and the more it runs the harder it is to pull start it. So I assume the rings have taken a beating and causing the issue. This is the second in 24 years and the last one I shot some oil down the spark plug hole and it gave me another year. All that was fine knowing I had a spare Honda mower this year and my daughter failed to see the old clothes line post and hit it dead on. Now that one not only has a bent blades but also it doesn't start in at least 10 pulls and runs with a vibration with the choke on. Turing the choke off kills the motor and won't re fire without 10 plus pulls.
So I guess I will start with the HRX 217. I was told to put some PB Blaster in the spark plug hole and let it sit up right over night. It still pulls hard part of the stroke when I pull the cord. So I guess it's in the need of a new motor or some other advise to get this motor freed up.I don't think it will too hard to replace the motor but wondering if there is anyone out there who would know the price of a replacement of 6.5 HP. Or an additional trick might get me through anther season.
As for the 5.5 hp Honda Harmony 215 I have I assume with the way it poorly runs which might be the result of a quick stop caused internal damage to the motor. My best bet would be a future engine swap. Just don't want to become a lawnmower repair shop trained and certified by YouTube videos this early in the season.
Can anyone put there give me an idea of how much the 6.5 hp would be for just the motor or a trick to get the motor freed up?
Any help would be appreciated...
