The PTO wire got loose at the pulley, and the red wire got cut. I stripped the wire and taped it back together, and it worked, but i didn't secure it good enough, and it broke in the same spot. Taped it again, and secured it with zip ties... worked fine for about 2 minutes, then the blades shut off. Wire was still taped together fine. Checked voltage at the wire harness going into the PTO and get nothing when i pull the PTO knob with the key switched on, and with me in the seat.
There are two wires at the PTO harness... a blue/white one going into the back of the PTO knob, and a white one that goes into a little relay.
What's my next step at troubleshooting, or can i bypass something so the blades work? The seat safety switch has already been bypassed, as well as (i think) the clutch safety switch. I think the reverse safety switch is still hooked up.
Is there a quick way i can get power to the PTO, so i can finish mowing these leaves? Even if i had to manually plug and unplug the PTO clutch harness, i wouldn't mind. Could fix it right over the winter.
Think this is the wiring diagram:
