Although I’m not clear on what fuse you are referring to and how you are checking it, “OL” means the fuse is spent. Replace it.

I would check for any recalls or TSB’s. My Kubota would throw the belt if engaging at any RPM below full throttle. They modified the tensioner/guide design which I installed and has worked flawlessly with the same belt for 5 yrs mowing 3/4 acre.

Duuuuuude I’m impressed with how you’ve taken care of that mower……just had to say something. I had an older Toro push mower, pre safety blade stop that I sold 15+ yrs old for more than I paid for it LOL. Still sorry I got rid of it!

Ive been using the same charger on side by side, mower and collector car that’s not driven regularly. I wire up a pig tail so easy plug and play. Seems like an upgrade to the Battery Tender which I used to run.

McMaster Car is first class no doubt. I have found quality fasteners with lower shipping cost at Boltdepot.com. Restoring a 30 yr old Z3 and the OE Bolts were pushing $100 for 5. MC had them but shipping cost seemed high so I shopped around and found BD. BMW calls many of their fasteners...

Looks like you have cable to actuate the drive along with electrical wire for safety/control. I would start by inspecting connections to ensure they are sound. Also test with multi meter and compare to readings from the one on the right that is functioning. May be easier place to start and you...

Great info here! I’m always amazed by ungrateful first time posters. Those that have responded, your efforts are appreciated as I know I’m still learning.

I would start by blowing out fuel line. If this fixes it you know what the problem was. Throwing multiple parts at leaves you hanging with what the actual problem was……assuming it actually fixes the problem.

I have a 1985 John Deere chain saw made by Kioritz which was identical to the echo equivalent model at the time. I bought it based on specs….had much higher rpm than Stihl if I remember correctly. Had lower price too. Still use it today and starts 2nd or 3rd pull. Always run Stihl 2 stroke oil...

I had a surging issue and went thru just about everything mentioned in this thread. Cleaning the carb didn’t work so I bought a new OE B&S carb which didn’t fix it. While installing the carb I noticed the plastic Intake manifold was warped and wouldn’t seal. Replaced it and problem solved.

Total negligence to instal a filter that is considerably shorter. When I cross reference a filter, I always compare it to the one being replaced to validate proper filter.

IMO a lawn mower is more demanding in terms of environment. Mower has no suspension in most cases. Slower moving with less air for cooling too. I run lipo batteries in my 1986 EZGO golf cart but have had no reason to switch other equipment. I also use a Noco maintainer on my LA batteries and...

My Stihl line trimmer head gets quite hot. Is this normal? Yes I grease it. Should I install a zirk so grease penetrates better?

Good point. Make sure the pulleys are offset in the correct direction so the belt runs in a straight line.

Maybe I’m lucky but no corrosion on golf cart, generator, zero turn, jet ski, car and truck with dual batteries. I have run those felt washers in the past and I agree they seem to work.
