Well I am all fixed, pulled carb, sprayed starting spray directly to intake and it ran. Put carb back on and all is well. Strange but at least all is well.

I have a 32 inch bob cat and i need rear brakes. I note that it looks like the brakes areheld in place at the "ears" with two rivets. Do I simply break them off and put a small screw and not to hold the drum brake in place? See attachment I am stumped.
