Where do i check the draw at?

Having an issue with my Zforce SX 54. When im mowing the pto just randomly turns off. Like something is loose. Everything feels tight like it should. Anyone else have this happen or have suggestions on what to check?

Bought it in 18 or 19. It does have taper bearing in top and bottom on the spindle. I will try to back off the castle nut and give it some play, but it was still stiff before i took it apart.
