    Discharge problem.

You haven't said whether or not there is a mulching kit installed on the mower deck. The blades must be installed with the cutting edge towards the ground and the wings mounted towards the top of the deck.

    Discharge problem.

A mower should discharge something before the deck gets packed. You are saying that the mower does not discharge AT ALL. The only way that can happen is a plugged discharge chute or you are running a mulching kit. If you are running a mulching kit, get rid of that monstrosity. Install high lift...

    Discharge problem.

My guess is that the deck isn't leveled properly. You are probably taking off too much grass in one pass. Cutting wet grass doesn't help. Have the dealer check the engine RPMs. They should be 3,600 RPMs at wide open throttle with no load. That means without the PTO engaged. Are you cutting at...

    Oil drain plug melted

You can get the parts at a hardware store or auto parts store. You will need a straight piece of pipe threaded 3/8 NPT on both ends. You can then add a 3/8 NPT ball valve. In place of the ball valve you can use a 90 elbow 3/8 NPT female on both ends with a 3/8 NPT male pipe plug. You remove the...

    No fuel pump output

100% correct. The pulse hose could have a hole or crack in it. It could also not be fully seated in the valve cover.

    No fuel pump output

Have you checked the pulse line? It's the small line that is on the bottom of the fuel pump and plugs into the Valve cover. If the pulse line is in good shape, move on the the fuel line in the tank and fuel tank. There will be a grommet on the tank where the fuel line enters. You will need a new...

Poulan Pro P3314 scored piston: help me understand why this causes problems

I have an old 16" Poulan Pro saw. It's not the green color, it's the school bus yellow and black. I've always run 40:1 mix in it. It's been a great little saw. I've only had to replace a coil, primer bulb, fuel lines. Of course, the usual plugs and air filters. I've never loaned it out and I...

Poulan Pro P3314 scored piston: help me understand why this causes problems

💀 Just to remind those who own any 2 stroke equipment. Don't loan out your equipment. Follow the fuel mix recommendation. That particular saw used 40:1 or 32:1 mix. Keep your mix separate from your non-mix gas.

If you already have other battery powered tools, a battery model may work for you. I have DeWalt 20V Max and Milwaukee 18V battery hand tools. I could go to a battery powered blower if I wanted. A mower can help you a bunch with the leaves. I have three pecan trees and I never use a blower...

    Consider buying a leaf blower

I would get a good hand held 2 stroke blower. It's easier to store and easier to operate. I have used the Stihl hand held before. I didn't find the vibrations uncomfortable. Echo, Husqvarna, Stihl, or Red Max are the ones to look at. Buy from a dealer. Compare the specifications among the...

Toro Titan MX5480 Laid to Rest

I think Kawasaki recommends valve adjustments every 300 hours for the FR691V. Kohler recommends every 400 hours for my ZT740. I did my 400 hour valve adjustment last week. All four were tight. Valve adjustments are not something to let slide.

    *%$#&^* Oil Filter

I ran into oil filter problems with a Toro/Loncin 708cc engine. The filter was a WIX. I looked at Predator's (Loncin) advise about oil filters. Same here. I replaced a worn out 10 year old SRM225 with a Stihl FS56. I have exactly the same complaints about the ergonomics and overall balance of the machine. Now this is my personal opinion. Head to head, the Echo SRM225 is better than the Stihl FS56.
