John Deere JX90 front left wheel dropping out when raised? (the side height is adjusted). Please help soon

That is very handy, thank you. I will look up that part. I didnt note one on the other wheel, so will check that out. Always just trimming short grass, but it is lifted often as it is too big to turn as such, need a smaller mower for our small section.

John Deere JX90 front left wheel dropping out when raised? (the side height is adjusted). Please help soon

Can somebody please help, was working fine for the year we have owned it, but of late for no apparent reason it is dropping out of the axle grove when lifted, then will get caught behind nut underneath (see second photo), leaving the front and left wheels uneven heights/lop sided (see 3rd pic)...

After a severe drought, my clay based soil wont grow any grass, help please :-(

Last year we had a 1/1000yr drought, it created 3"+ retraction from the borders and concrete and lightning style cracks 1"+ wide across the small 70sqm Kikuyu lawn. Our house also saw the effects with minor cracking in our plaster walls etc due to the settling of the earth, for the most part the...

    60sqm lawn, budget line trimmer/weed eater. Used/New? Electric/Petrol?

I do like quality gear, but I need to face reality that I do not need a $900 stihl for trimming the edges of my hardwood garden edging and house. However I do know for string .155/inch is what usually lasts. I have used guitar wire but that will dig into my garden edging and sides under the...

Homelite HBLT25CD line trimmer, reliable brand?

Homelite is a bit of an unknown low end brand here, but its a 25cc curved line trimmer. Its $90usd here. So not a lot of money. Although ive seen a John Deere 25cc which looks in good condition for the same price, but wont have warranty. On that note though, they only come with 1 year warranty...

After long drought, should I remove many thick Kikuyu vines/runners?

@bertsmobile1 I really wanted a worm farm and I see how juice is made. But we just dont have the room. We only have 60sqm of Lawn :-) Strangely ours comes out much darker than his, but we have not used any grass clippings yet, just stufff from the garden. Mostly we have tried to fork it into...

After long drought, should I remove many thick Kikuyu vines/runners?

@bertsmobile1 thank you kindly sir, you are a wealth of knowledge. If im honest we don't really know what we are doing with the compost. Of course our non meat food and waste scraps go in it, but as my John Deere only collects (no mulcher) I had 70 litres of clippings this last time as it it was...

After long drought, should I remove many thick Kikuyu vines/runners?

@bertsmobile1 thanks brother. thats exactly what I wanted to know. Given the patchy areas are in shade of a massive pine and a big native all year round, only getting dappled light. is Fescue a good choice to overseed this area with? Currently we have 5" Kikuyu in sunny parts which looks over...

After long drought, should I remove many thick Kikuyu vines/runners?

Because we are based on reactive clay, Im also considering a clay breaker product and over seeding with some fescue in the 100% shadey areas.

After long drought, should I remove many thick Kikuyu vines/runners?

We definitely have a shorter blade growing in the lawn. The Kikuyu has rebounded back ok but in parts all that is left are vine like runners and mossy turf. Some are very brown and possibly dead. Should these thicker vines be removed? Kikuyu vine remove? Ive also noticed a lot of moss around...

JX90 walk, how to use the right hand lever and blade clutch bar?

Rivets, thank you for your post. Im sorry you felt the need for sarcasm though. I appreciate its a hard time in your country and Im sad and with you in spirit on it causing stress. I was polite and waited 3 days before a polite bump. My much smaller country has removed Covid for now, basically...

Putting green, bunker, cascading water feature and adding french ditch/drain to avoid water near my foundations?

Haha thats a good Idea rivets. The reality the easiest way to get a quality putting surface is artificial, but this is more for aesthetic and possibly chipping. We lived on the Golf Course prior. But this house has better sea views.

Putting green, bunker, cascading water feature and adding french ditch/drain to avoid water near my foundations?

We live in amongst 2 golf courses one used for the World Cup of Golf many years back, its popular clearly with locals with the country club up the road and the 18th. Im keen to lay a small putting surface, bunker and water feature in to finish off the landscaping. Id like to get a water...

Had 1/2000 year drought, lost a lot of Kikuyu lawn, winter, what to do?

I just read 15 deg celcius is the minimum germnination, so I might just fit it in over next 2 months. I need to really break up this soil where its bare as its growing moss now, possibly add some top soil? We are based on reactive clay. So I think if I have desires for a putting green lawn it...

Had 1/2000 year drought, lost a lot of Kikuyu lawn, winter, what to do?

Thank you :) What is a good temperature for Kikuyu? Its sunny at the moment but about 70f. Whats odd is this Kikuyu is growing super fast at the moment. Im sure its the rain after being so dry over summer. I use to use a seaweed water through product in Australia where its much hotter and...

JX90 walk, how to use the right hand lever and blade clutch bar?

Ok this sounds like a real noob question. But I have a fresh but used JX90 walk behind mower, 6hp kawasaki. The blade clutch system, I dont understand why I need to pull the bar down and ALSO push the Yellow lever on right hand side forward? Or do just push the lever forward when I want it...
