    Bush Hog?

I have a friend who mows his yard with a bush hog that is towed by his 4 wheeler. His lawn is huge though so I'm not surprised. It actually looks decent since he does it every week. Would you use a Bush Hog to mow your yard?

    Weed Eater on Wheels

Does anyone have any recommendations for one of those weed eaters that are sort of look like a push mower? I have had problems with my back for some time and I really need something that is a little easier than my big honkin' weed eater that weighs a ton. Anyone?

    eMachine Electric Blower/Vac/Mulcher

I was just looking at one of these at the local big box store. It was pretty cheap (under $40), but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this one? It's not very big but they advertise with an optional attachment you can even clean your gutters. Anyone?

    Toro LX468

I saw this mower at a local store and it looked pretty good. The price wasn't bad either but I'm not sure it's what I really want. It would be so helpful if the mower dealers had a demo model of each mower and let you try it out even if it was at their shop.

    Small Tillers Like the Mantis

Does anyone have a small tiller like the Mantis? I was considering getting one just to work our flower beds over. I've never met anyone who had one and I really just wanted to know if they really work or are they a waste of money?

    Poison Ivy

I visited the graves of my family this weekend and one of the graveyards is in a rural setting. I was aghast to find that poison ivy had invaded the areas around the stones! The caretaker is certainly not doing his job. But for now, how do I get rid of the stuff without killing the grass?

    Riding Mower For Steep Hillsides?

Recently I went to a local VA hospital which has a lot of steep hillsides they have to mow. I noticed they were mowing the steep areas instead of weedeating them because of the patterns left in the grass. When I came back out of the hospital, I saw one of the mowers they were using. I...

How Do I Get Rid Of Honeysuckle?

I love the smell of honeysuckle in the mornings and in the evenings. But I don't like it to intrude into my yard. I don't want to kill all of it. I was thinking of maybe running a plastic barrier in front of it so it can't take hold in my lawn. Do you think that would work?

    Deck Trouble

I have a 2000 International rider that I have just bought. The only thing is the deck is "loose". I can shake it when I get off and the mower is off. Should I be concerned? I haven't seen any areas of rust but I just got it.

    4 Wheelers and Bush Hogs

I have a neighbor who has a four wheeler that he uses as a lawn mower by towing a bush hog made for the four wheeler. He loves it because he has LOTS of yard to mow. He usually gets 2 acres of lawn done in about an hour and a half which is fantastic.

    Lawn Sweeper

Does anyone here have a lawn sweeper? I was looking at one on sale at our local Tractor Supply store and they have one on sale. Is it worth the price you give for it?

    Snakes Alive!!!

Everytime I mow my yard, I will come across some type of snake or other. We have a creek in our front yard and we have a lot of garter snakes around because of the frogs and lizards that are around. We also have a lot of rabbits that will hop across our yard occasionally. I know all of these...

    Thinking

I'm thinking about getting a walk behind that is self propelled and electric start. I know there aren't many of them out there but I'm getting to the point that I can't pull start the mower any longer. Getting old isn't a good thing.:frown:

    What About Dixie Choppers?

My neighbor just bought a zero turn Dixie Chopper and he loves it. He says it is very low maintenance too, which is a plus for me. Does anyone else have one and how do you like it? I'm still looking for a rider to suit me.

    Weeds, Weeds, Weeds

How do you start to conquer weeds when weeds are all you have? If I were to spray weed killer on my lawn, I'd not have anything to mow. Between the dandelion, crab grass, dogbane, violets and other weeds that make up my lawn, I hav very little grass. But it has to be mowed too I guess.
