The "color" black and the absence of light are completely different. A red apple in total absence of light is still red but will appear black. This is a deep rabbit hole.

Only when dealing with light. "Black" in the printing world is definately a color. If you combine magenta cyan and yellow you get what is called process black. The density of black is important too.

The 290 and 291 will not interchange cylinders. The 291 is actually a few cc smaller. The 028 would be the saw i would restore.

I find customers with pro saws more willing to fix a bad P&C vs the parts and labor for a clamshell saw. They are not hard to work on.

I wonder how exact on torque settings you need to be on a mower engine? Other than head bolts that i cheat on regularly by adding 10 ft/lb, rod and sump bolts. What else do you guys use a torque wrench on? After over a half century of twisting things i rarely grab a torque wrench.
