if you are not going to reuse the old drain just cut the tube off the drain. Loosen the lock ring screw the drain out and install the new drain hose. I never have to remove the engine or loosen it.

I would never change out any of the hydro parts without changing the fluid and filters. I change the parts filters and fluids and flush the sytem to make sure I get all the metal shaving out of the system.

Have friend that has a CV25 Kohler that he swares has 8000 hours on it and still running. Have seen Generacs on Dixie Choppers built in the late 90's and used commercial and still running. No telling the hours on these engines. Briggs Vanguard is an excelent engine as well.

Buy the xtreme best clutch going. Been using them for ten years of so and have never replaced one yet.

That is a commom problem with these mowers. I see it a lot. Looks like they would use a better material instead of rubber which dosen't hold up to fuel very well.
