Honda's future in the 21 in. Battery Lawn Mowers

I'm not arguing with you, but who do you think wants to reduce price travel?

    Honda HRC216 Commercial

Hey everyone, I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this issue. I purchased a new Honda hrc216 a couple of months ago. I noticed after the first use, I could smell oil burning and I noticed white smoke coming from the muffler. Not very thick either but rather faint, like steam. Didn't...

Does anyone recommend a Kubota T2290

That's awesome to hear. I spoke with a sales rep today, and she acted like she had no clue what I was talking about regarding the belt issue. Maybe it's just one of the those things where a few folks have had a run of bad luck.

Does anyone recommend a Kubota T2290

Damn. I hate to hear that, buddy. At least it's under warranty. Well, that pretty much seals the deal for me not getting one. I guess you're going to ride the warranty out and get rid of it?

Does anyone recommend a Kubota T2290

I know this is an old thread, but I was curious if there have been any updates on this issue? How has your machine held up? I am in the market for a mower and really want to pull the trigger on this unit, but at the price (local dealer wants $5999) I am wary of doing it. My cheapo Snapper with...

    Old gem

Thanks for the detailed reply. I'll give it a look and probably order new parts for the brakes since I'm replacing all of the belts. Steering wheel is slightly off center when driving straight, so I'll fix that too. You get your parts from parts tree and replacementparts? I love those old...

    Old gem

I forgot to ask. But the brake pedal doesn't go all the way down on mine. The brakes work, but it might be an inch of travel. Is yours like that?

    Old gem

I think the only big plastic piece on it is the hood. Everything else is metal for the most part. I plan on keeping it. It's handy for getting through gates and it really does run like a champ. The neighbor that gave it to me overhauled the motor 5-10 years ago, so it's solid. Even if I wanted...

    Old gem

Thought I'd share a new find. Not sure of the year, I think maybe a 91 model, but it's a 38 inch 12hp craftsman. Picked it up off an elderly neighbor. Hadn't ran in a year, but I jumped it and came to life. I changed the oil and plug which made a huge difference. Cuts decent but I think it could...

    Need new mower

Oh mine is not he bag model. It's side discharge or mulch. But yeah, the rear discharge on the hondas aren't the most ideal. I got it because my snappers have bags and I didn't need a third. I usually just side discharge with them too.

    Need new mower

I have two snapper hivacs and love them! Mine are old though. 78 and 84 model, so yours may be better. I definitely don't like the rear discharge feature. That's why I bought a side discharge. Lol. It's an HRS216, I believe.

    Crooked steering wheel.

That's what I thought too. But there's a metal piece within the steering wheel that is notched the same as the shaft. I can't for the life of me get the thing out of the steering wheel or to turn so I can put it back on the shaft

    Crooked steering wheel.

Hey guys, I recently inherited a 2005 craftsman 3000gt from an uncle who passed away. It has the 23 hp Kohler pro and runs and cuts beautifully. I already have a mower, so I will probably be selling it. The only issue is that when driving straight, the steering wheel is sideways, as in the...

    Need new mower

I have the Honda. It doesn't bag or self propels, but it is by far the smoothest and most comfortable mower I have ever used.

    Snapper NXT 46inch

Think I figured it out. I too initially thought it was a ground wire. Thankfully since the two snappers I have are so similar, I went pulled the pto clutch off the other one. The green wire is apart of a connector that is attached to the clutch and runs to a connector inside the mower. I will...

    Snapper NXT 46inch

Recently did an engine swap from an spx snapper to nxt since it's engine was shot. Motor swap went fine and mower runs great. Went to engage the blades annnd nothing. Crawled under and seen this green wire. Any idea what it goes to?

    Snapper 5hp Briggs

Hey guys, Last year my snapper through a rod while I was mowing my girlfriend's yard. I had used the day before with no issue, but her yard was a super steep incline. So, I'm sure the combo of the steep yard and me foolishly not topping it off with oil is what did it. I would like to repaint the...

    Snapper 5hp Briggs

Hey guys, Been having some issues with my mower. It's an 84 self propelled snapper with the pulsa jet carburetor. I was mowing with it a couple weeks ago and it suddenly died when it was in fairly heavy grass. Each time I cranked it back up, it would die as soon as it hit some grass. I replaced...

    Fuel Leak on Snapper

Hey guys, New to the forum here. About a month ago, I purchased two vintage snapper push mowers. A 5 HP and a 4 HP. Both are self propelled. I didn't really need two of them, but they were $80 for the pair and both are in pretty good cosmetic and mechanical shape. So it was hard to pass up...
