It is COLD this morning! At 6:30 it was 53 degrees, and right now it's 55 degrees! It's going to get up to 78 today, which will feel just right (after a week of 95+), but I'm not used to mowing when it's in the 50's...in July! :confused2:

I think my favorite part of Snapper mowers are the controls. I like how the throttle lever is just a small thing on the one side. Can't really describe it, but you know what I mean!

Well yesterday I was mowing a lawn and then I saw an animal trap in the backyard. And there was a rabbit in it! I figured (and hoped) that was not the animal they were trying to trap, so I emailed the homeowner, who was on vacation. But in the meantime I picked some lettuce from our garden, got...

Well...my Honda HRR's back wheels are completely done I think! They were smooth since they had no tread, but now they are getting holes...that's how far they are worn down! :confused2: Luckily I get my HRX back tomorrow! :thumbsup:

I don't care how much string is left in my speed feed head because I always carry 2-3 extra ~10 ft. long pieces of string on the trimmer (Only 1 in the picture). :thumbsup:

Yeah I thought that might make it difficult, but I never needed to use my lights, yet.

I have two "putty knives" I use to clean the underside of the deck, but the one is actually made to do this, the other is an actual putty knife. The HRX has so many cracks and crevices under the mower deck sometimes you need more than one tool to clean it.

Well we have not had rain in awhile! And last week had highs 95+ degrees (not to mention a dew point in the mid 70's and a heat index around 105!). See picture. So the grass is drying out, and I'm going from a 7 day cycle to around a 10+ day cycle for lawns for now.

If the grass is super long to prevent clumps I will do counter clock-wise rectangles (like doing a square around your entire lawn but it creates a stripe affect). But if the grass is not super long I will just go up-and-back.

I have no clue what it was that came out of your mower, but if it was regular oil, and if you use the OEM Honda oil that is recommended in your manual, then it could be Honda SAE 10W-30 Genuine Oil. But since you removed the cover to the transmission my guess is it's transmission fluid...

Well I was mowing grass and there were these pebbles I couldn't see and I hit a few of them. I didn't damage the crankshaft but I did chip the blades. :rolleyes:

I would just get a new blade. I wouldn't waste the time trying to fix it personally. I hit a rock the other day with my Honda and though it didn't bend the blade, it did chip it, so I had to replace it. Old blade: New blade:

I'm pretty sure they don't have any steering control. My Billy Goat Homepro 34 didn't...and it was so heavy! But maybe heavier than the Cub Cadet.

Well my Honda HRX is out of commission now. I was mowing and then all of a sudden the one side of the handle dropped a bit and I was confused what happened. But then I looked down, and the handle was just dangling there. I tried to lift it back up, and then the part that it USED to be connected...
