    Can't Find Tire Leak

Mike: Remove the tire from the wheel and do a Haynes Test. Slowly wipe a nylon around the inside of the tire. It will catch on the smallest protrusion. When you are satisfied there is nothing inside, note the Tire and Rim size and get a Tube for it. This gives you an new valve as well as...

54" BAD BOY MZ Magnum (zero turn) Blade Replacement OEM Blades - Blades Slipping

I suspect one of the Spindles or bearings have seized up. Try turning each pulley by hand. You have also likely overheated/burned the belt. Check Clutch operation as well. Does it engage?

    Help!!!! Troy-Bilt

When an engine won't start, I try Starting Fluid. If it fires and dies, likely a Fuel Problem. If it does not fire, likely electrical - Coil and or Spark plug.

    StaBil and ethanol?

If your Paddle type Snow Blowers don't have a Fuel Pump, they don't Suck! If a fuel line has any sort of split, it will leak Fuel.

Some of the debris you find beneath the filter can come from the Crankcase breather depending on how it is routed.

    Constant flooding

Do you find any particles in the Float bowl? Is the fuel going into the crankcase as well? Drain the fuel tank and save a half cup in a glass container and leave that sit. Remove the Fuel filter if you have one and blow the line back into the tank with Fuel Cap off. Get All the Fuel out of...

How does CCs affect blade power and torque?

T The Change to metric from Normal is thanks to the LIEberals in Canada. Rated HP became a huge problem when JD was caught exaggerating the true HP. They paid Dearly for this. Now Small engines are measured in Torque Ft or in. pounds which few understand. HP is how fast you hit the wall...

    StaBil and ethanol?

ALL: Keep your spare Fuel Containers FULL. Use within 30 days if possible. Don't drain out the last dregs when emptying them. If you cannot run the equipment Dry (some fuel remaining in the tank) Fill it and Cap it. The enemy is moisture in the AIR which enters the tank through any vent...

    No start issue

The 'click' means the Fuel Solenoid is working I believe. Remove and Clean all battery connections including Grounds. Use a cable to go directly from + Battery post to Starter. That will narrow your problem. If you have a connector near the key switch with multiple wires, open it and clean...

Fuel and starter solenoid no click. No hour meter.

Off topic but on my JD X320 there is a 10 or more wire connector close to the switch. When it cranks but does not start I have found that corrosion (not readily visible) inside the connector at pins which prevents the fuel solenoid from operating. If you cannot hear or feel it click when you...

    Problems with compression test.

This is getting like the 'winter storage' episode! Most important is that the Compression is near equal in all Cyl's. It appears to be so just 'run it'.

    Problems with compression test.

Check the Spec's for that engine. Your engine seems OK but low across the 4. It would run at that level I believe.
  35. G

    Age old question, Winter Storage?

You are treating your battery correctly. I run gas engines dry of Fuel and if possible also drain the Float bowl. You do not want Ethanol contaminated fuel left in any tank or container for over 30 days.

Remove the 'mulch cover' if your mower has one. Work at keeping the underside clean. Dry Grass is key.

    Deck holding grass

If there is a Cover over the side Discharge Chute, ("mulcher") Remove it and try mowing without it. Plastic chutes are available for most mower owners who don't like the 'mulch' feature.

Grass isn't cut between the blades.

IF you have sharpened the blades and Checked top and bottom of Spindles for nut and blade(s) tightness, Belts tight and in good condition, then check Blade length. If all of the above are ok then IDK. Try longer blades?
  42. G

Grass isn't cut between the blades.

Try mowing when the grass is no more than 4" high once you have determined that you have the correct blade length. The 'teeth' on the belts do not keep the belt in 'time'. Check Spindle nut tightness and blade tightness. Do your blades have engagement cutouts in the centre of them? Remove the...

New Valve Cover gaskets in case you need them after setting Valve Lash (clearance). Removing the Engine fan assembly will let you see if the Crankshaft key is partially sheared. It could also be dirt floating around in the carb. Simple things first! Have you drained the Float bowl?
  45. G

    Exmark Kawasaki FX730V not starting

You should get new gaskets and then check valve lash. Check your Manual for settings. Time for new spark plugs? Have you checked the Flywheel/Crankshaft key to be sure it hasn't partially sheared?
