    Continuing the Tradition

As kids we didn't have purchased sleds but we knew how to shave the bark from a couple of small oak limbs with the axe for sled runners and build our own low boy sleds . More often than not it was pulled with a running horse with snow flipping from the feet directly in our face. But that was...

This Info. May be of Interest to Some

I've been mostly a DIY type and so changing oil in our vehicles usually isn't any big deal. Well, until this time. I did say mostly because I did take my wife's car to my dealer the last oil change which is very rare. So yesterday morning, according to the car's DIC, it was time for another...

    Do Your Nuts Have Dimples?

If your JD has blade nuts with dimples sell them as scrap iron and replace them with nuts without dimples. The dimple will clearly be visible on a hex flat. Below is a copied post that tells the end result sooner or later. This is a grave error on John Deere's part and there will never be a...

Ever Wear a Pocket Knife Out?

It's difficult to do because I find this badly worn knife, after 20 years, very handy for some carving tasks that the new knife wouldn't do well.
