99% of the batteries used in push mowers are a standard SLA battery. If the old one is still on the mower it will have info printed on it. You can use that to find a new battery.

Have you removed the deck and checked all the bearings? If the engine is a twin confirmed both cylinders are working (spark)? Belt routing ok? PTO switch won't cause engine to bog down.

A properly crimped terminal is what is called gas tight meaning the metal of the terminal is compressed hard enough on the wire that oxygen molecules can't get between the terminal and wire. If not crimped properly oxygen can penetrate and oxidize the metals causing corrosion. 99% of DIY crimps...

I am confused..... you say it has a pulley on the top of the engine to drive the front wheel. Does it have a pull rope start or electric? I don't understand how it has a belt pulley and a rope recoil on the engine.

What does the underside of the recoil housing look like? Does it use the ratchet (square hole) ?

You might get the briggs 19114 wrench to fit. It is out of production. You could get a piece of flat stock and drill 2 holes in it and use a couple grade 5 or 8 bolts and use it like a pin spanner to remove the clutch.

When someone brings in a ryobi or the like I used to replace fuel lines if that was all it needed. Not any more. I don't work on them at all anymore.
