That's awesome. This mower is the best I've ever used. Newer mowers don't even come close. The best part is showing people that it's a 2 stroke engine. Apparently, not many people have seen a 2 stroke mower before. Proud to have this Lawnboy smoking on! Thank you all for your help!

That's great! Thanks! One question though. The serial number on my mower is 7 digits, but the site lists 9 digit numbers, would I use the serial number range from the 1979? or 1980?

Good afternoon, I found this forum while searching for more info on my Lawnboy 5277. The serial number is 9425596. While my internet searches lead me to believe it's from 1980, I've also been told this is from 1979. So I'm wondering whether anyone here knows the year this mower is from based on...
