Several years ago, I bought a Cub Cadet lawn tractor that had the same issue (and many others). Long story short: I had to have the dealer replace the whole gas tank assembly under the warranty. Nothing else worked as a fix.

You'll probably be due for a new one in a couple years. When you are, check out the EGO line of trimmers. They run on a 56V battery which also powers several other tools. So far, I love mine. By the way, great pic! 👀

My Deere X-370 manual says check with cap unscrewed, so I do. It's a 2022 model. I'm sure procedure varies from brand to brand and model to model. Cheers!

I have an X370 42 ". You should change the tranny oil and filter at 50 hrs. It certainly won't hurt to also do the engine oil then, but I don't think I did mine that soon. Don't have the records in front of me right now,but check the manual again .
