The mower decks work pretty good for leveling out mole hills also.

Anyone that has ever drained oil thru one of those valves has probably swore at it loudly. Bad design. If it's not leaking now, wait till your next oil change and replace it. A short pipe nipple (3/8" pipe if I remember correctly), a 90 degree elbow and a screw in plug into the elbow works great. Gets the oil away from the frame. If you want to get fancy, you could always insert a valve in line.
