So I'm at a loss here.
We start the mower, it rides and runs great for whatever length of time, it's inconsistent, but all of a sudden it sounds like I've come out of the seat and the seat switch has cut power. Sometimes it's just a second and then keeps running, but mostly it just dies. I'll still be able to turn on the lights, still get power to the dash to see my hour meter, and the starter can crank, but it isn't starting. I just replaced the fuel filter because the old one was decently clogged. I need to change the oil, I have replaced one of the coil packs about 3 years ago, but the symptoms seem different than when that issue was present.
I replaced the spark plugs last year. The mower has ~360 hours, and is about 12 years old (I think). The air filter doesn't look that bad. I have checked all connections and though I haven't put a meter on it, the battery seems strong as it's turning the motor over well. Can the plugs from NGK really be bad that quick? I can order some more but that just seems like it's too soon. I have 8 yr old NGKs in my Tahoe that function perfectly.
