Looking for advice re: purchasing a reliable lawn tractor

What's wrong with g'ol Briggs? I had Craftsman rider with it, bought in 2005, thing was indestructible. Sold it 2 years back without any issues.

    EZ Vac bagger

Ok, so here's the review 1. Very expensive. 1350 after tax 2. Took about an hour plus to set up. Some drilling involved as the vertical bag holder frame bolt holes didn't quite lineup as they shoul. 3. No, it's not permanent install. Can be removed by removing drive belt from the pulley...

    Toro ZTR with Myride

Oh, and to add. With factory tiers, mower goes through mud and puddles like they are not there. I have 1.25 acre wetland lower property tier. Normally, I was bypassing those puddles, waiting for them to dry. This mower does not care, goes through several inch puddles without noticing it.

    Toro ZTR with Myride

Anyhow. Record time so far. I did about 85% of the last year largest mow in 1 hr 45 min, that's with starting, rolling out, rolling back in, parking, walking to the house to check on time. I say 85% because we reduced some mowable area, dedicating it to some gardening projects. Last year mow was...

    Toro ZTR with Myride

Well, I didn't mean waist high grass. 6-7 inches. Pretty much, double the cut height. If I cut at the maxx 4, I'll have to cut every week, 5+ acre. Several hours every time. If that bogs mower.... My now gone 50'' Cub didn't have that problem.

    Toro ZTR with Myride

I got 60'' Timecutter with MyRide. It actually does cut crazy fast. I already did several acre mows and will do the "big" mow today. 4 acre plus. Unfortunately, I ended with Toro engine one and I can warn you - it does feel underpowered. Claimed HP is what it is, but I can tell, on tall grass...

    Deck Design ??

It's aggrevating, ain't it? Like as if it's done on purpose, to make you crawl underneaTH THE DECK AND CLEAN ALL THE AGGREGATING, MIXED WITH MUD AND ROCKS, CLIPPINGS, LITERALLY EATING DIRT SAME TIME. Sorry, damn caps key always gets in my way. Anyhow. Remove the deck. Set it so that baffles face...

Trying to chose between two Timecutter MyRides.....?

I just got a 60'' Timecutter MyRide Toro. 3 weeks ago or so. Only did a few trials and mulched a bunch of last year leaves, stuck by the fence. I don't really know, how well it will cut, as it's February and no real growing grass yet. So I'll call this "off the hip" impression. 1. got it online...

Lawn sweeper instead of mower bagger?

Great, thank you. Peak season I cut every other week.

Lawn sweeper instead of mower bagger?

Ok, here's what it is, and I have my reasons to have it the way I have it. I have chicken farm, fully fenced and netted. About 5 000 sf runs. Of course, there is no grass left inside runs, they ate it all. As the result, ever so often, I bag 3 large bags of grass and toss it in. They love it...

    Swisher 66" considered

Well, I found visual answer to my question. Go to 3:03 and 4:09 here: That's future mower deck, going into powder coating. Mind you, into POWDER COATING, not into sand blasting. Noticed something? RUST. Same exactly rusted panel is powder coated at 4:09. You can, actually, see same rust stains...

    Swisher 66" considered

Yeah, beauty is in the eye of beholder but just look at Encore product and you WILL see what I'm talking about. Build quality shows itself. Along with design. For same money, actually. And I do not have funny idea of what's reliable, I have experience of anything bolted on my mowers falling...

Would please like some advice on price of a used 2022 Hustler Raptor 54"

I had 2 Hustlers, 54 and 60, and I'd tell the tenth in a row not to buy them. 54 was falling apart continuously, it was exercise in repairs. 60 was not much better..Of course, mine were older than 2022 and 22 model does look different from what I had, though I bet, deck suspension bolts will go...

    Swisher 66" considered

Hi all I am considering a 66" Swisher tow behind mower. Apparently, Encore 70" is not made anymore, neither is its 60" brethren, so can't have those. Swisher is next in line. I am curious, from the first hand owners, how good are they? I have rather rough terrain (not rocks, just poorly graded)...
