    HR-215HX transmission question

HR-215HXA MZAM-6062356. When I first picked this mower up a year ago the transmission would sometimes not engage. I’d push the lever forward and nothing, then a few seconds it would go. Other times it would operate just fine. An intermittent problem. Took it to the shop and they replaced the...

    Echo srm2400 idle issue

This trimmer I bought used a few years ago. Had the crab cleaned and replaced the fuel lines, filter and air filter. It runs great and the idle screw is set so that the head does not spin while at idle. But afte using it for a few minutes and set it down to idle the rpms have increased enough so...

    Echo srm2100 engine flooding

I bought my srm2100 new almost 20 years ago. It's the only item out of all my equipment that was purchased new. It's always been well maintained and just used at home. But a frequent problem, even when it was relatively new, was that the cylinder would tend to flood with fuel making it...

1985 Snapper 21 repower with Honda GX 160

Not yet but I do know the recoil needs a new spring at least. Insure the carb needs a good cleaning but it's last in line in my lineup. No idea when I'll get to spending time and money on it but it was a model I've been looking for for awhile now so for $25 I grabbed it. Here's a better pic...

1985 Snapper 21 repower with Honda GX 160

Haha thanks and thanks! I don't have much mechanical knowledge to bring to the table, I'm really more of a collector. Finally after almost a decade I've found pretty much all the ones I've been looking for. Some long travels at times to get some but worth it in the end.

1985 Snapper 21 repower with Honda GX 160

...but since my 185 (and other two WRs) reside in this recently acquired vintage display rack they won't see much use. So the Honda and Briggs are my go-to along with the old Honda HR-194.

1985 Snapper 21 repower with Honda GX 160

Thank you, yours as well. Very clean and that Honda engine was a great idea. Luckily the shaft size on mine wasn't an issue as it came off another older snapper self propelled mower, the deck was in terrible shape but this engine is great. Just needs carb cleaned but it bolted right up. Got the...

1985 Snapper 21 repower with Honda GX 160

Here's mine I just finished assembling. Took a non-commercial deck that had a dead Tecumseh TVS-90, added the commercial handlebars, brackets and straps and put on a GXV-120.

    OK... Let's See Your Mower!

Here's my latest edition: not a snapper! Honda HR194 with the GXV120 engine. Got it from the original owner's son. Here's a few pics and a few of the collection.

    Snapper Hi-Vac Commercial with 5hp WI 185v?

Well I finally found what I've been looking for. A good-running original 21500PC. Drove a couple hours to get it. Deck was junk but engine was good so I transplanted it onto my comm deck that was minus an engine. This minor project all worked out.

1980's Snapper 21's Build one mower from two.....

Ok those three bolts (two on side one on top) are what will detach the entire rear axle and handlebars from the deck. Then remove the bracket holding the disc drive stuff. The pusher deck will have the holes on top of the deck behind engine to bolt that to.
