Hello all, I have a Craftsman 10.5 hp engine that the seat where the oil filter sits is broken. I've done the JB weld twice and hasn't held. Question - - Can I cap the oil filter threaded spout and return gally and bypass having this filter at all???? Reason I ask is the replacement engine...

That's a good idea - - I saw on a video that the cherry exhaust could be from not getting enough gas - - running too lean. Trying to put together all the symptoms. Carbed heads/pistons, cherry exhaust, runs rough at speed . .
