I’ve had my Stihl FS100RX for 15+ years. Volunteered at a 10 mile MTB trail and did a lot of work there. Also maintained about 1.5 acre HOA property where I live in addition to maintaining my 3/4 acre lot. Changed the plug a few times, air filter, greased head and replaced the primer bulb...
I had a similar surging issue and was at witt’s end solving it. Initially cleaned the carb and didn’t help. Bought a new OE carb and seemed to help then started surging again. Wile taking off the new carb to see what the hell was going on, I noticed that the plastic intake face where it mounts...
I ( actually my wife) mows our 3/4 acre property with a 48” Kubota ZT. I keep it running…..she likes the “auto fuel” service I provide. Couple wear and tear expenses in 8 yrs and only one challenging issue, warped intake manifold.
A ZT is what you want as it’s easier to operate and more...

Duuuuuude I’m impressed with how you’ve taken care of that mower……just had to say something. I had an older Toro push mower, pre safety blade stop that I sold 15+ yrs old for more than I paid for it LOL. Still sorry I got rid of it!
Ive been using the same charger on side by side, mower and collector car that’s not driven regularly. I wire up a pig tail so easy plug and play. Seems like an upgrade to the Battery Tender which I used to run.
McMaster Car is first class no doubt. I have found quality fasteners with lower shipping cost at Boltdepot.com. Restoring a 30 yr old Z3 and the OE Bolts were pushing $100 for 5. MC had them but shipping cost seemed high so I shopped around and found BD. BMW calls many of their fasteners...
