    Jump starting an under-seat battery?

I just permanently wire up a fused heavy wire/cable to the battery. Mine runs out onto the deck but put it where ever you want. I have a 50amp Anderson plug on the end. All my battery chargers have 50amp plugs on them. I can plug straight. Also use it to plug my sprayer in when needed.

    Air filter conversion

Completed the conversion with a half decent bracket. It’s as good as it gets without a folder and tig welding. May end up welding on some braces but it moves very little so see how it goes with time. Should have done this years ago. Caution to future swappers. Make sure the right hose comes...

    Air filter conversion

Thanks 7934. I have previously read your post Which inspired me just never got around to ordering. I failed to identify the difference in intake pipes and wasn’t something I saw mentioned. Hopefully this prevents someone else needing to buy a seperate pipe.

    20x6.5-10 tyre replacement

Greetings, I’m posting here because I’m aware this tyre has been fitted to a limited number of other machines (Scag for sure) not just my Hustler Raptor 36”. These Grassmaster/turf saver tyres are good however finding replacements in Australia is nearly impossible. The 20x8-10 is a...

    Air filter conversion

Hose I need is 92192 1360. 50mm id both ends. The fx has a 63mm Id on one end. Tracked one down at Ballarat mowers. Just need to figure out how to swap out these dammed 20x6.5-10 tyre and I’ll be a happy man. I could try a spacer between the rim and the axle I suppose.

    Air filter conversion

Greetings, I just purchased a donaldson filter for a FX651 to convert my FR651. I failed to realise that the intake is larger on the FX machine. This appears to be a marketing ploy as the outlet side of the filter is 50mm. The same as the FR intake. But they have made the FX 63mm...

    Kawasaki FR651 valve seals replacement.

No need to pull heads. Was just wanting advice on ”while you are in there” jobs. I don’t want to be stripping things twice. 500hrs is not a new engine but it’s certainly not at the end of service life and this machine has been looked after and want to keep it that way. Eg if there is a known...

    Kawasaki FR651 valve seals replacement.

I’m certainly scaring the mosquitoes away when I kick it in the guts. Takes a few minutes to disappear. It’s only a fairly recent thing that is getting progressively more noticeable. Never smoked new. Obviously just a bit of wear n tear

    Kawasaki FR651 valve seals replacement.

Seals can be replaced with head on but just wondering if inspecting the valves etc at 500hrs is worth it or as Bertrrr has stated, just leave it alone If it ain’t broke.

    Kawasaki FR651 valve seals replacement.

I have no problem with reusing the gasket unless someone advises against it. As I said, machine is running fine with no leaks. Just want to give it the appropriate tlc. I’m a tight ass but have no drama spending money in the right areas if it will prevent break downs and ensure longevity.

    Kawasaki FR651 valve seals replacement.

Too easy. It is definitely a can of worms I want to avoid but if there was something prudent worth money and attention, I would rather do it once. I’ll inspect the valves and assuming all is well just replace the seals. Thanks. Do you always replace the head gasket? If it was my landcruiser I...
