Letting of the forward foot pedal and back wheels will lock up in gravel.
I'm here searching for the same answer for my XT2 GX54 FAB D. If I'm cutting and slow down to backup, I will often pop a wheelie due to how quickly it breaks. If I'm going forward and stop, it stops hard. I took it to an authorized dealer who told me that's just what hydrostatic transmissions...
