Echo was working but suddenly no more

Sorry to interrupt the childish ranting... 'too much (fuel)? seems leaking everywhere'. then you probably have a fuel leak in the carburetor. Something is plugged or stuck. Now, back to your 'cat fight'.

    Brand loyalty?

When I had a lot - as in a couple of acres - to mow, I bought a used SATOH (Misubishi) tractor with a 60" finish mower on the back and a loader on the front. It was 25hp/4cyl gas, 3/2 trans and turf tires. $2000. Very fast - not as agile as a Z-turn, but so much more versatile. I sold it...

    Corroded ring terminal, battery cable

Along the lines of corroded terminal ends... Try putting those red/green felt washers on the battery posts of your motorized vehicles/equipment. I never gave them much thought until a friend told me to try them. I have never had to clean a terminal end or post since then. They're cheap and...

    Craftsman lawnmower B&S engine replacement.

Sorry - can't help with engine replacement. But your grandson's mishap reminds me of a similar issue I had. A friend from work (single mom, new home owner) called to say she got a new Craftsman snow blower and asked if I could show her how it works and get it started. It was assembled and...

10 Year Old Raptor Bogging Down

Someone above mentioned valves... I would get a feeler gauge and make sure you valves are set to factory specs. Check YouTube - probably a tutorial there.

    Kohler 14hp K321S help

    Sthil MS250 issues

Glad to help. It's why we're all here. Still screaming to cut? Just a thought... I think we all mix our gas too rich - fear of damaging the unit. Try a tank of pre-mixed fuel and see what happens... I that works, measure your mix very carefully going forward.

    Stihl love/hate MS251C

Hmmm... I wonder if this is the case with my Jonsered 2258? I've run hundreds, or more, gallons of gas thru chainsaws when I was young. Just choke, drop start, when if fires, take choke off and pull again. If it floods, hold the throttle and pull a few times - it will fire. My new (10 yo)...

    Sthil MS250 issues

Sounds like it may need a carb adjustment. Maybe too rich at full throttle?

    Bar and chain selection

Yup - my first thought too - chain on backward. I've had a 2258 for nearly 10 years. My old saw was stolen from me. After a man's dog, his chainsaw is the worst thing in the world to steal. Jonsered (now Husqvarna) made really good saws. I've owned three - that I remember. We used them...

Just a blown head gasket or worse ?

I just did a quick search for "B&S 441777 manual" and found owner's manual, parts diagrams, etc. You should be able to find them too.

Common Reasons Why Your Weed Eater Won’t Start

I looked up this model engine - it says this: "Prime 'N Pull Easy Starting System ™ pumps the right amount of gas to carburetor for easy one-pull starts". Prime 'n Pull. I have an old Weed Eater lawn mower with a 4.5hp Techumseh engine. It has a primer bulb - is that what "Prime 'N Pull" is...

Is electric the way to go now?

My neighbor had a DeWalt battery mower - for about a month. We had to do some 'creative' engineering to the handle - to keep from pinching fingers. He kept the batteries and gave the mower away - wasn't worth much sans batteries. Repair - other than battery power the mower was just a rotary...

Common Reasons Why Your Weed Eater Won’t Start

I have an old WE aluminum deck push mower that I use for trimming. Very light - runs great. It has a 4.5hp Tecumseh engine. It was hard to start too. If I gave it a shot of starting fluid it would start and then run good. And, as long as the engine was warm it would start again and again...

    Lost Wire

No problem here running Avast browser... I don't know where the wire goes - it has a 'connector' on the end so if there's a place to connect it, then... If not, it probably isn't necessary - appears to be an 'owner installed' wire. Where did it come from? Until you decide what to do with it...
