I have already got a new timing gear it had got very slightly damaged.

The one I have is I believe the third generation, made of aluminum which is crazy in my opinion. I found another one for parts but the same issue in it it had self destructed.

Today I picked up a Ariens RM830E and, it’s in great condition. By my assumption it’s early 90s but I cannot find any type of date code on it anywhere. Here’s some pictures of it anyone knows much about these also chime in because this is the first time I’ve gotten ahold of one.

I’m unable to find any number other than what’s on the cover, the mower it came off of is unknown I bought it with a bull deal after going to check them out. They kept the bodies.

Kinda figured, only asked because I heard in a different model of engine that people were doing it. I’ll wait til I’m able to locate a parts motor. Or the part itself. Thanks!

I see, how would the engine preform without the synchro in it at all?

I picked up a SV620 to rebuild, it ran great no smoke, just developed a knock. The link Closest to the cover failed and shattered, still a good running engine. I am unable to find the links anywhere, does anyone know where I could purchase them? Or any ways around this? Thanks!
