Riding mower won't suck in any fuel

Who me? I think I just need to replace the solenoid. If I remove and push in that pin it starts but then the next time I go to use the mower it is stuck again. What sort of price could I expect to see on this part?

Riding mower won't suck in any fuel

Removed that solenoid and the pin did seem to be stuck so now it isn't but the stupid thing still won't start. I also made sure 12V current was finding it's way to the solenoid. Who knows, maybe someone siphoned my gas? I will check that tomorrow and also try starting it with starter fluid. I am...

Kroller CV15S won't start without staring fluid

    It's totally stuck on there so that's a no-go.

Kroller CV15S won't start without staring fluid

I don't remember that at all. Well, I guess there will be quite a bit more disassembly to do. There is this big plastic part over the carb. Disassembly looks rather complicated to say the least. I do not remember doing this last time. It's a shame my new lawn guy quit. My lawn would be mowed by...

Kroller CV15S won't start without staring fluid

Does this fuel solenoid look retracted? It seems to. I don't know where the pin is. Should it be near the red wire?

Riding mower won't suck in any fuel

I had already drained the fuel and replaced it. The same fuel as used in the string trimmer and the string trimmer works fine. The mower doesn't even try to use any fuel anyway.

Riding mower won't suck in any fuel

I think mine is like that. I fixed this once before. I seem to remember there was a pin sticking out from the bottom of the solenoid and I pushed it in and everything was fine. This time I don't see the pin, which seems odd. There is a black wire that comes out of the bottom but no pin. These...

Riding mower won't suck in any fuel

It will start with starting fluid and run for a few seconds. I called a shop and they suggested the carb. needs cleaning but it's kind of hard to check that. Do those fuel pumps really do any pumping? Doesn't seem that they do. I put a new one on and it made no difference.

    New Toro Start Problem

90 octane is a bit high for a lawn mower. I'd try to find some 87 or 88 octane non-ethanol fuel. The higher the octane the harder the fuel is to ignite.

Craftsman riding lawn mower acts like it has a low battery but it doesn't and won't start or even try to start

Finally got it started with the help of some Valvoline starting fluid from an auto parts store. I had to keep pumping the choke knob to keep it from stalling while it was outputting purple smoke. It cleared up after a minute or two. Now it's running fine. I'm going to keep it running for 10...

Craftsman riding lawn mower acts like it has a low battery but it doesn't and won't start or even try to start

update 4: now the stupid thing is back to not starting again. It's not a battery problem this time. Seems to act like it's not getting any fuel. I did replace the spark plugs today. I had put fresh fuel in it the day before. Didn't make any difference. What else could it be?

    Throwing the belt

Was the old belt coming off too? If not what happens if you re-install it?

Craftsman riding lawn mower acts like it has a low battery but it doesn't and won't start or even try to start

Oh. I will have to check on how to do that. update: I found an article on this but it's way too complicated. I'll just give the local shop a call and have them come and pick it up next week sometime and they can fix it. I give up! Wow. Serious things can happen just by simply running out of...

Craftsman riding lawn mower acts like it has a low battery but it doesn't and won't start or even try to start

Removed the spark plugs and it turns real good this way. Attached the spark plugs to the two cables and checked for a spark and there is none. Should there be a spark? And if so, why would there not be one? Same with both spark plugs.
