Does anyone recommend a Kubota T2290

Does anyone recommend a Kubota T2290 ? Yes. Kubota recommends those all the time. :ROFLMAO:

    Yardmax 170cc Oil overfill

I suggest you get one of those engine oil vacuum suckers that they sell at boat places for use on inboard engines. You can suck the oil out of the engine's dipstick hole without having to get on your knees or under the machine. AND, you can visibly see how much oil you took out, thereby...

JD Sabre 14.5/38 mowing deck issues

Brother-in-law owns a nice JD Sabre Model 14.5/38. I looked at his yard and it was obvious the deck wasn't level by the awkward cut the mower had left. I looked at the mower in his cramped basement expecting to see a flat tire or a mower needing a minor deck adjustment, but that was not the...

CMM 1200 BLACK & DECKER 24V CORDLESS MOWER POSITIVE LEAD GETS TOO HOT

I'd buy a gasoline engine, that turns a generator, that can power your electric mower. That way all your battery issues will be done with, AND you can still claim "electric mower" status. :ROFLMAO:

Ferris ZTR Blade Disengages when short turning

Any type intermittent electrical issue is always hard to find, but will make complete sense after the cause is finally discovered. In a certain percentage of cases, the root issue may never be found until the part at fault finally gives up completely. The blade PTO can/will disengage for a...

    Hydraulic oil question

4 different oils Dixie has used OVER A SPAN OF TIME, during which the formulation of the oils has also been CHANGED. Dixie is most probably chasing "the best oils" in order to get the most protection for their customers. The Devil is in the details, my friend. So are you saying there is no...

Briggs and Stratton 18.5 OHV pushing oil out the exhaust pipe.

It seems you never answered this question, but it is extremely important. Gasoline can migrate into the oil, dilute the lubrication capability, and end up destroying your engine.

    Hydraulic oil question

Whoa, now! You need to be careful here. The EPA has mandated change in the formulation of 15w40 "diesel oil" within the last 3 or 4 years. It formerly had a ZDDP "zinc package" for very strenuous applications. That has now been removed. The EPA is only worried about street use, so you can still...

No Idle Adjustment Screw On New Carburetor For KT735-3011

In some instances the fiber reinforced plastics are a better part. At least they don't rust !

    Caster wheels not rotating

You might even consider adding a Zerk fitting while you have it apart. Then you could simplify maintenance by hitting it with squirt of grease every month of so.

Honda GCV160 - Engine Stop Switch

You can always disconnect the wire from the switch. Then extend the wire up to the operators area with a manual On/Off switch mounted there.

Big Dog Alpha MP stalls after 10 minutes of cutting. Took for repairs.

2 most common causes... • Either the engine is over-heating due to clippings captured in the cooling fins, Or... • Fuel tank breather (usually inside the fuel cap) is blocked and won't allow fuel to flow to carb due to vacuum inside the fuel tank. But others are reporting a mercury safety...

No Idle Adjustment Screw On New Carburetor For KT735-3011

Yes, everyone knows that mowers are the number 1 contributor to pollution. The screw is there, but it's now hidden to protect YOU. Pop out the welch plug if you like. The adjustment screw is not LocTited in place, merely hidden.

Koehler command 12.5 engine, choke over fuelling?

OK, now that we understand each other.... (Brings back the thought of Churchill's famous quote..) 1. The float valve really can't restrain that much fuel "pressure". The modern float needles with the viton tip do better than the older metal and nylon versions, but still the "pressure limit" on...

    223--Multiple Issues & need tips

You've got an issue with fuel flow. When you disconnect the fuel hose from the carb, then a full diameter stream should shoot out of the fuel line, if the tank is held above the carb. You'll want to check over the entire fuel system... Breathers inside the fuel cap get clogged with ethanol...

Buying a new ztr at the end of the summer...only problem..

Suggestions for cut quality... Engine should be running near max or at max to get the blade speed very high. Look at the condition of the blades as far as the winglets that lift the grass. Look under the deck to make sure there's no clogging. Air for lifting the grass often enters from the top...

    LT Electrical Issue

Rather than guess, simply disconnect the wire to the carb and then install a new fuse. Replacing the electronic shut-off with a manual fuel valve will accomplish the same end with a lot less guessing. And for a lot less money.

Koehler command 12.5 engine, choke over fuelling?

IF there is no way to physically remove the jet, THEN they must be cleaned in-situ... just like I said. This type carb design/manufacturing is becoming more common. They simply want you to buy a new carb every year.

Carburetor study with microscope plus Smarter Every Day video

You are ALL crazy ! The jets on tiny carbs found on small engines are so finely tuned that any metal object will gouge the soft brass and make the engine run richer. Just because you get away with it doesn't mean it's not happening. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not happening...

Koehler command 12.5 engine, choke over fuelling?

The fuel level should be about 1/8" below the float bowl gasket, which would place it about 1/4" below the interior of the carb.... So YES, your float level is WAY too high. A good rule is to turn OFF the fuel when you finish mowing and allow the engine continue to run as you walk back to the...
