Buying Advice HELP - Zero Turn Mower Recommendation

wth...i just need a to know which mower is a good one!

Well, in that case, they are all good...So, then, we have not advanced even one step...We have ten different posters promoting ten different mowers.

Do some research - you will find maybe 50 different mowers.
The devil is still in the details.

Have to agree with Ric, there are some bargains on craigslist... as well as some to stay away from. I bought mine off craigslist for $2300 and it only had 27 (less than 1 y/o)hours on it. This years model was around $3500. I saw a $1200 snapper pro model with 48" fabricated deck i would have considered, mostly because I had such a good experience with my previous snapper. Most places have the toro timecutter 4235 for around $2599 and the 4260 for $2999. I would take whoever will be using it to some dealers. they will let him test ride them, the box stores will not. At 72 years young... he might not like how responsive the zt type mowers are. The timecutters have a speed control to reduce the max speed from 6mph to 3mph.(at least I think it was them.

I haven't had any experience with a tractor or a zero turn mower but would you guy invest money in a zero turn or a normal tractor mower?

Depends what you'll be using it for. If all you want it to do is cut grass then you want a ZT. If snow removal or pulling carts of dirt and mulch are needed then you want a tractor.

Ok, if buying new a basic residential ZT is gonna cost about $1500 more than a basic tractor. Just for your research, I bought a cub cadet rzt 42 with a bagger for my home. So far so good.t I only have about 25 hrs on it. This is my first cub product. The bagger works excellent! I live in ny and fall is serious biz. I mowed twice a week and it did a fantastic job on the leaves. I bought it from my local dealer and they were great. They delivered it to my home and offer free pickup for the first year of the 3 year warranty. And keep my name and mower on file so if I need parts I just stop in and say I need a filter, and they know exactly what to give me. I don't need to bring any info.

That new CC RTZ , $5K or so seems to be the king of the hill, for those who need such a mower...This depends on his age, financial situation , and lawn size.

Your talkin about the rzt-s. Has a steering wheel.
Mine has lap bar controls. With the bagger and tax it came in under $3k

I work on mowers to pass time, I am retired. I service many units over the years and I can tell you that the Toro Time Cutter is the easiest to service, built very well, good craftsmanship. These units will last a lifetime.
