Missing spring

After cleaning the carburetor on my 7.25 toro, and putting it back on , I noticed that the air vane was disconnected and the governor spring is missing. Does anyone have a picture of how these are connected? Model number is 128m02-0133-f1 Spent over 2 hours looking for that darned spring. Thanks.
 
Toro does not make the engine Briggs and Stratton does. Thes engines are used on various kinds of equipment.

Maybe some small engine repair videos might help provide some kind of picture for reference.

Thanks for the video. Similar engine, not quite the same. I know nothing about that little spring. The spring I thought I was missing is no. 691292. He doesn't show that one.

The governor spring goes from the loop in the governor linkage to the bracket near the head on the carburetor side. It also appears to have an auto choke vane.

After looking at engine again and the parts manual I think the missing spring is called the air vane spring 790849. This is part of automatic choke. Everything seems to be connected for the governor. I guess I ordered the wrong spring. I ordered the governor spring instead of the air vane spring.

Hello R.,

This is what makes working on small engine equipment so tricky even for professionals. Each mower chassis manufacturer requests different parts and functions that make them different from the "other brand".

Years ago, a person could go to practically any hardware store and buy pretty much the same engine mounted on a different color chassis and the parts were the same. Now, every manufacturer requests many differences that push the price up, so they make more profit.
 
First time I ever had cover off this type engine. This is my daughter's mower. I'm used to working on mowers from 1960 to 1990.
