Timming Gear marks GXV670

Friend working on a GXV670 engine that has no timing mark on the crank gear or key to hold it on. Anyone know how to time the cam to crank?
 
I have viewed that as well. Did you read my post? It has no mark on the crank gear or keyway to hold the crank gear on the crank shaft. So that won't work on this engine.
 
I don't need your know-it-all attitude. I would gladly do what Taryl said pal but there is no key that holds the gear on the crank shaft. There is no timing mark on the gear either.

if there is no key then the gear either has to be cast into the crankshaft itself or welded on. If it is just pressed on with no key then in time it would spin on the crankshaft. if that is the case, then I would not waste my time rebuilding an engine like that. Just saying. There are lots of engines out there that can just be swapped in.

I had to find a real knowledgeable person to show us the way (Taryl). Not a know it all for sure. My bad for not being in your garage and understanding what you meant. Bet you typed it out in English too LOL. My fault. (y)
