It does this every few seconds, sometimes four and five in a row. It's like the ignition has been turned off, then immediately back on before it stops spinning. Listen to attachment.
Additional Info: I cut the yard about ten days ago and this started near the end of the job. Then two days ago, it started well and I cut grass about 15 minutes, then it started this again but continued running while I finished. After that, it would not start, popped a few times disengaging the starter. I smelled gas, maybe flooded. It would not start yesterday, same thing. Tonight, it popped on the first try, disengaging starter. Tried again and got started after a couple of pops. As of this writing, it's been running but with the continuous behavior as you will hear in the MP3 attachment.
