kholer courage 23 very hard to start cold ok warm

I have a kohler courage in an ariens zero turn, it has been increasingly difficult to start cold. Start ok warm or hot.
It crank over good and attempt to start but then starter disengage and it dies. It has about 530hrs.
Spraying gas in carburator does not help.

replaced: 1 main igintion start switch ( it had burn sign), 2 start solenoid ( stayed on sometimes) 3. both iginiton coils, 4- both sparks plugs, 5 starter( installe an ugraded one) 5- carburator clean in an utrasonic bath ( no debris, no corrosion look like new before cleaning) .6 governor is properly adjusted.

I noted these particularity.

1- compression is low, left cylinder is 100 right is 130. when wetting cylinder left go back to 130, so not a valve problem.
2- at rest throtle plate is about half open ( I undersatnd it should be full open) can figure out how to do this.
3-once running, idle is good full speed is good, do not notice lack of power.

Did not check the flywheel key so far but the engine is running good once started, should I not have issues with idle and full speed with key /flywheel is off set?

Tells me you have near zero fuel delivery TO the carb. A fully closed choke should be pulling all kinds of fuel into the carb IF the fuel line is clear and can do so. And IF the carb is clean enough to process said fuel.

Carb float level set proper?

Ignition coils are on a wide gap not making good spark?

Did you TEST all these new parts you have been buying? Confirming you have a nice fat blue spark that will jump a quarter of an inch gap min? Don't tell us you checked spark with a Christmas light type spark checker..........

Valves out of spec can make her hard to start. Only takes 2 minutes to check. Well it does on my machines with NO RTV.
