I am in the research phase of a new mower purchase. I have always bagged my zoysia but would like to consider mulching. I have a moderate amount of leaves in the fall. Local ZTR dealers include JD, Bobcat, Kubota, Country Clipper, and Toro. If another brand is worth the drive for service, I would consider Gravely, Bad Boy, Ferris. I mow 10k sq feet. I am retired , so frequency of mowing is not an issue. I would like to stay in the 42” range because of storage considerations.
1. Can I mulch zoysia and have a satisfactory outcome?
2. I would like to stripe
3. I would like to spend less than 5k
4. Will these newer mowers cut fine enough so that side discharge with the advanced chute system be an option
Thanks in advance for thoughts, suggestions, and comments.

Zoysia is so fine. I don’t know how it will mulch. I had a customer with Zoysia grass and before I cut her yard I had to put a smaller line on my trimmer and I put a freshly sharpened blade on my Hustler mower. Which cut it very well. She had mowers but they wouldn’t cut near as well is the only reason she had me do it. But I loved my Hustler mower. It should do what you want. Just my opinion though. Bad Boy makes a good machine just don’t know how fine of grass it will cut properly. Good luck

Think I have some Meyer Zoysia. That stuff is ultra dense with a root system next to none. It will wear you out trying to dig in the grass with a shovel.

You can mulch zoysia. Don't let it get too tall. It will lock up your engine. As in you better mow it once if not twice a week. Depends on how much water it gets. It's awesome grass but needs a min of 2" of water a week. You could water it daily and it will thrive. Stuff comes from China slash Asia so it loves rain.

I follow a pro on Instagram that mulches zoysia with a turf tracer. Seems to work well. I’m looking for several opinions befor I commi. Thanks
