Need help identifying carb on this edger

Dug out the old McLane edger with the B&S 3 hp engine on it and it seems that if you don't use something for more years then you can remember the carb gums up and needs a bit of love. Engine starts but gas flows out the bottom of the carb (I think that is where it is coming from) so I am looking for help in identifying the carb so I can obtain a rebuild kit or new carb. Specs on engine are as follows: Model 90102 0181 01 Code 95042603. Couple of pic to show you all what it looks like.

Your type number is actually 0131-01. There is no carb repair kit available. The tank mounting gasket is part 27404 and the high speed mixture adjustment screw is part 299060. A complete carb is NLA
 
Is it coming from the tank to carb gasket? If so, I would replace it and see if that helps.

Those old McLanes are amazing. Mine is in great condition because it sat in a garage for most of its life. Granted, it was stored with no gas in it, but it fired up and ran pretty well after sitting 10+ years. I let it sit most of last year with gas in it. Wouldn't start on its own, but with a little starting fluid it fired up and I used up the old gas edging an overgrown yard. :thumbsup:

You are correct on the type number, old eyes don't see that well. Thank you. Guess I will pull it off and see what the gasket looks like.

Pulled the carb off the edger and it is a bit dirty on the out side but not sure how to take it apart so I will hold off on that a bit. May try removing the needles and cleaning out the passages. I will mark the needles and count the turns out so I set it back about the same way. Pictures from today.

Remove the needle valves and spray everything with carb cleaner from both directions, making sure all the passages are open. There is no further disassembly on the carb, No fuel pump diaphragm, or second fuel pipe to worry about.

Sounds like a plan. Any idea on the settings of the needle valves? How many turns out from lightly seated? It looks to be a very simple carb.
