Great price for that mower. Worth every penny. I wasn't lucky enough to run across a deal like that when I was looking. Happy with the mower I got though.

I ordered the Raptor SD 54" with an engine guard from my local dealer, should be in on Friday! He has the 48" in stock but for the 100$ more I decided to wait for the 54". He also was trying to talk me into getting the gravley zt xl, but I think for the money the Raptor Sd was the best deal. Anyone running a mulching kit on thiers?

New here. Trying to learn about Zero Turns. Have spent many hours and kinda settled on the 54" Hustler SD, but still looking. Have about 3+ acres of land that I mow, mostly flat.

Been using an inherited (from my dad who passed in 2009) Craftsman 44" riding tractor that has been purring for 24 years mowing once per week or two. Gone through many belts and blades, one or two blade spindles, steering "u-joint", and a few other minor things. The motor still runs, though burns some oil. I'm guessing the engine has at least 1000 hours on it. Of course, the deck is a mess, twisted and out of level, dented and torn, but still hanging in there.

SO, I got the fever for something real nice, and have $4000 burning a hole in my pocket. Plan on getting the mower before next season. In the meantime, plan on reading everything I can before then.

Had raptor SD 54 since March. Did a lot of research before getting. Money was not an issue but did not want to over spend just to mow my lawn. Had an old JD 420 with 2400 easy hours. It was time to upgrade. Had a couple issues at first but nothing major. Love the machine and would do it again.

Just purchased a Hustler Raptor SD 54". Only mowed mine yard once with it so far but it cut my mowing time in half. I was using a Craftsman 42" that I have had for 12yrs. I dealt with a awesome dealership in Owensboro, Ky that gave me $300 trade in for it.

Re: Welcome to the Hustler Forum -- Check in Here First! Thanks, glad to be here.

Howdy all, My name is Robert from Ky, Recently purchased a HUSTLER RAPTOR SD 54" deck. Machine only has 4 hours on it and on my 2nd time out pulley tension spring snapped on it. Of course the machine is under warranty and dealer is picking it up in the morning. I removed the deck cover just to check it out. My question is, what is the trick to putting spring back on if i had one to put back on? Thanks for any feedback, Robert
