I bought the last SD from him. He told me he has to order 3 of each model the 60", 52". And the 48" to get special dealer incentives offered by Hustler. He is ordering them now and told me he is selling them very well, better than expected considering the price. I told him I was a bit concerned with the 2800 drives but he assured me that with the amount of grass my son will be cutting there would be no problem and that were a serviceable instead of being sealed. He has the best prices by far on hustler and toro products in the Raleigh NC area. If you like you can look up " Right of Way Equipment Company located at 5500 Hillsborough St in Raleigh NC. Talk to David even if you are located somewhere else. He has been in this business for many many years and is a great guy as far as trying to answer any questions one has about these mowers. I will post pictures as soon as it arrives. All in all I am happy. If my son wants a Gravely he will have to buy it. God Bless!

Will he deliver to Maine?
I talked to the only dealer we have in Maine and he claims he is having trouble with Hustler and wouldn't feel comfortable selling me a Raptor. He'd rather me get into a Skag for $2k more. He only deals in commercial units, so anything "residential" is junk to him. Unfortunately the next closest dealer is 3hrs away in NH. Looks like I am going to have to go with a Gravely.

Gravely is a very nice machine, but for the money I went with the SD because my son will not be doing commercial work. I don't think you can go wrong with the Gravely either way. Good luck to you!

Just a note to those looking to buy. I ordered mine 4/15 through Lowe's and it was delivered 4/29. I ordered the 54". The nice thing is that you can contact customer service and tell them that you want to get the "new to the neighborhood" coupon and get 10% off your purchase or go to the post office and get a new to the neighborhood kit. Mine was $3600 before tax. Also got them to throw in free delivery because Home Depot was offering free delivery on theirs. Another member took the (Lowe's) coupon to Home Depot and was given the 10% off.

I just bought the Raptor SD with a 60" deck. I love the mower, but when you engage the deck, there is quite a bit of vibration and it is rather loud. Is this normal or should I be talking to my dealer? I was told that my mower was not involved in the recall.

Hey guys I've got a Woods CZ2048K that's been a good mower. While in the shop on a deck pulley issue, I was loaned a used Hustler Fastrack by my dealer. Talk about a night and day difference in mowing. The Hustler is faster, cuts better, and has much better traction/stability on inclines. I'm tempted to buy it, but it has a couple issues that concern me. I'll post these questions in the appropriate place. Thanks in advance for everyone's input.

Just got the Raptor SD 60 and I'm replacing a 50" zero turn Cub Cadet with 420 hrs. The Cub has already had the motor replaced once and now needs another because of a bad cam ( 24 horse Briggs engine!!#%*! ). Also, I had just replaced the blade clutch before the motor died again ($350) ..... Too Many other problems with the Cub to even mention! The Raptor SD does a great job and seems to be very strong with the 24 hp Ka engine. I decided to go with the 60" instead of the 54" because of the great seat, engine guard, extra horsepower, and the larger deck for only $400 more. Also the local dealer is about 4 miles from my house and was the 5th largest Hustler dealership in sales in the southeast last year. It is fun to mow again and not have to wonder when something is going to tear up!
