it feels a bit more stable on my hills and swales but it is a beast, the xl zoom was a bit smoother, slower, but i hope this will last a whole lot longer..
Any thoughts?
You understand that the Max Zoom and the Gravely ZT HD are basically the same machines, right? Does the dealer you are working with on the Ariens also carry the Gravely line? The Gravely ZT HD 52 has a Kawasaki engine versus the Arien's Kohler Courage. I would lean towads the Kawa engine, but of course the MSRP on the Gravely will be about $100-$200 more. Again, not saying the Max Zoom is any less quality than the Gravely, but I would recommend the Kawa over the Kohler.
He could order it, but im not spending any more money. its 200 more.
I know the weak link is the kohler, but you have to stop the bleeding someplace. i chose 5k, the gravely is over it the max zoom is under it.
Frankly the xl zoom drove nicer, smoother, and cut fine. but i am hoping this will be the last mower i have to buy.
this deck is a beast, not sure on the cut yet, my grass was way tall from not mowing for a month, so i was all over the yard 2x
this mower will actually spin the tires rather easily, and i am still not even close to good doing turn around.
I am sure im the only one it took longer to mow with a zero turn as opposed to a standard tractor.
I am deciding between this mower the kubota in 48 brigs and the m-zt52.
i can get a better deal on the m-zt52, but i hear bad things about getting parts and such. I can not trest it i would have to order it blind.
the max zoom is more stable on my hills and swales than the kubota otherwise id probably go that route and save some cash.
The Fast Track 48 w 23 kawa motor is the way to go. I just bought one for my company and it is awesome. I am cutting 20 to 25 good size houses with it and it is perfect. You understand that the Max Zoom and the Gravely ZT HD are basically the same machines, right? I would love a ft 48 but its 800 more than this, so no go....
