That is trash slash debris in the fuel tank. Pull the tank and flush out like a new one. Bet there is all kinds of bugs, leaves, dead...

Sound about right. Check your engine manual as some engines take a 0.020" gap.

Waste of time. Installing a new fuel line is a good idea. They rot from the inside out.

No. The position the valve is in is fully open. Changed my mind, anything could be blocking fuel delivery. Maybe the knob is turning...

Thanks! I will try that. I also plan to adjust the pitch of the fuel line to the carb, so it does not sag.

Thank you! I checked the gap and it was fine (.030); put it back in, checked the air filter, I checked and tightened the fuel tank cap...

I had to recheck Parts Tree. This model may not have had a vapor vent hose. The tank shown is in plain site placed ahead of the operator...

I actually kept the original carb and replaced the float & gasket only since that was the initial problem.
