I am thinking of buying a ZTR for my home. I have about 1.5 acres, and what I have now isn't cutting it (no pun intended). I was curious to see what advice you have for me in my search? I don't want to spend any more than $3,000, and I have seen a few online that fit that price range.

One that I am considering a Toro TimeCutter. I see they have a few models under that brand, but if anybody has used one before or just has any advice for me I really appreciate it.

The Toro TimeCutter series are some of the most popular zero turns for homeowners like yourself. Husqvarna and Ariens are also very popular. Here are some zero turns to take a look at, although for you I would lean toward the entry-level models.

After trying out several mowers, and kicking the tires on many others, we'll be getting a Kubota Kommander. It's going to cost more than we initially planned to spend, but we view the mower as a long term investment and wanted a build quality and component set that would hold up for the long haul and was servicable. The final choices were the Kobota and either a Toro Timcutter MX5060 or Titan ZX4800. In the end, the ergonomics of the Kubota won out. I had wanted something with a Kawasaki engine, but the reassurance of Kubota's warranty allowed me to be comfortable with having either a Briggs or Kohler Pro series engine.

My advice would be to hit up the local dealers and get some seat time, because machines the same basic components can feel very different when you in the operator's seat. It often comes down to personal preferences when making the final decision between similarly spec'd mowers.

Good luck in your search.

You may want to take a look at the Hustler Raptor SD, it's about the best you can get for the money you want to spend.
