What are the two permanent magnets under the two brake pads for? My clutch jammed somehow? and when I engaged the PTO to cut, it ripped my belt apart. On disassembly I found one of the magnets shattered. I reassembled the brakes minus the broken magnet and I don’t see any difference in function. I also don’t see the cause of the jammed clutch. It seems to be working fine minus one magnet.
