Well I just hit 10 hrs on the mower and the dealer told me to bring it in at 10 hrs! While I bring it to the dealer I'm going to pick up a extra set of blades. What are the best blades to buy?

For what its worth, I would buy another set of the Gravely OEM blades. Have had no problems with mine.

I just got 6 sand blades for my Ariens 42 incher at Pat's Small Engines for $35.00. Two blades in TSC are over $40. Granted I have use sand blades because I mow over a lot of sand.

What you buy for blades would depend on what type of mowing your going to be doing. Personally I like the Gator Blades.

I have a little over 1 acre of Bahia. It's thick and grows pretty fast.

If you're mowing 1 acre of Bahia grass get another set of OEM high lift blades and a grinder cause you're going to need it.

If your mowing a little over 1 acre of Bahia you've got a problem. I never found any blades that didn't have trouble cutting Bahia. The Gator blades will cut the stuff up finer and not leave it all over the ground but if you want the clippings gone you'll have to double cut even with the Gator blades. The advantage to the Gator Blades is they will last longer and you can go longer between sharpening's because there heavier than the OEM. I'd go with the G6 if you can get them for your mower.

Thanks . I'll look in to the gator blades. The oem blades have been doing OK. But still miss some pieces.
