My friend's father has a Husqvarna zero turn z254f.. he backed up into a bunch of brush and a branch got stuck underneath he pulled it out and it would not move after that. The drive belt had fallen off the pulley. He put the drive belt back on and it hardly moves with a lot of chatter and the smell of burnt rubber.

The tensioner spring is not the original so I got an original and put it on along with a new belt. It moved more and better but still chattered. As I drove it for about 5 minutes the chattering lessened but when I push the drive levers fully forward it actually slows it down and starts chattering.

If it were a car I would say the brakes are on... Is there linkage that if it were bent could cause "braking" to happen?
